Ms. Rae-Ann Daughtry
Ms. Daughtry grew up in Pennsylvania, and graduated Magna cum Laude from Temple University/Tyler School of Art with a Bachelor's in Fine Arts, a Major in Painting and Drawing, a Minor in Art History, and a Teaching Certification. During her time at Temple University, she spent 6 weeks centered in Rome, Italy with excursions to Paris, Pompeii, Florence, and Venice focusing on the art and architecture of that region.
Shortly after, Rae-Ann Daughtry began her teaching career at South Creek High School in Robersonville, NC, where she taught for 3 years. During that time she also coached the marching band color guard and chaperoned the 3 week student exchange program to Germany. Throughout her time there, she was awarded the "Bright Ideas" grant for two consecutive years and the Target Field Trip grant in 2013. In 2014-2015, Rae-Ann Daughtry was awarded "Teacher of the Year" for Martin County Schools. In the Fall of 2015, Rae-Ann Daughtry joined the Panther family at Orange High School. Since then, she has led the art club and instructed Beginning, Intermediate, and Proficient classes. She is proud to continue to bring AP Art History to Orange High School this coming year. |
